It is quick-drying, highly absorbent, and is actually quite strong.
How do I wash and take care of my minky blanket without having it lose its plush feel?
Gran’s Minky blankets are specially made to be durable enough for the washing machine. Not only do they wash easily, but they also come out just as soft as they were the first time you felt them. No one likes a blanket that loses its special soft touch after one wash. In fact, most of us avoid washing soft things because we’re afraid the days of having a soft blanket, sweatshirt, or pillow will end once we clean them. Gran doesn’t want this to happen to you. She knows toddlers will drag them along the ground, 6 year olds will take them out for a picnic, and the rest of us will wrap up in them every time we want to relax.
Machine wash cold with detergent, but NO Fabric Softener! Tumble dry on low heat or air fluff.
If you would rather not use the dryer you can hang to dry. Remember – do not use fabric softener!
How long will my Minky blanket last?
Gran’s minky blankets are made one at a time and must pass a quality test before they leave her hands and make their way to yours. She does this so that your minky will outlast being dragged across the driveway, rolled into a pile of leaves, and sat upon by a teething baby with a stomachache.
Your minky will last forever, just wash it to keep it clean and you won’t have any problems.
